About Reiner Keller

Reiner Keller is Professor of Sociology at the University of Augsburg (Germany). He is at the forefront of a growing number of sociologists that have turned to discourse analysis as the method of choice for understanding social realities, and has established the Sociology of Knowledge Approach to Discourse (SKAD) as a new and considerably expanded perspective for analysing discourses and societies.

In addition to discourse analyis and SKAD in particular, Keller's research has also focused on sociological theory and the analysis of contemporary society, the sociological study of culture and knowledge, the sociologies of risk, technology, and the environment, as well as qualitative research methods.
